About FIPP World Media Congress

The FIPP World Media Congress is the flagship annual conference for worldwide media and its counterparts in adjacent advisory and tech sectors. Organised and hosted by Media Makers Meet - Mx3, FIPP Congress gathers top speakers, media decision-makers, tech partners and other service providers from 40+ countries annually.

The 46th Congress takes place on 4-6 June 2024 in Cascais, Portugal.

FIPP has a proud heritage in magazines dating back to 1925, when it was founded in Paris, France. Nearly a hundred years on, FIPP continues to provide its worldwide members in modern, professional media businesses with opportunities to learn, connect, engage, and do business at the intersection of media and technology.

Today, magazines have morphed into multiple platform media and have been joined by vertical media pure-plays, serving defined audience segments around various interests. They transcend mere products; they represent an idea that embodies the ideals of the communities they serve. These publishers inspire their communities in beautiful, inspirational and delightful ways. Their brands rise above all-out dependency on platforms; they create relationships with their communities, whether online, in print, in-person or across multiple platforms.

Congress is the heartbeat of this global media industry. It provides a platform for sharing intelligence, meeting counterparts and developing business. It is a trusted nexus for media and tech decision-makers from markets large and small. Whether you are a professional creator, publisher, advisor or technologist working in the global media industry, Congress is where you want to be.

LOCATION

Congress takes place at the Pestana Cidadela in the beautiful Portuguese coastal town of Cascais, a short drive away from Lisbon. Once a tiny fishing village, today, Cascais, with its cobbled streets, offers restaurants and shopping, incredible scenery, and plenty to do outdoors.

It is one of Portugal's most sought-after destinations. Cascais is compact, meaning Congress attendees never get lost, and there is a good chance you will bump into one another while out and about, allowing for more informal networking and deeper conversations.

We have secured a limited number of rooms at a discounted rate in the Pestana Cidadela, the Congress venue. Our travel partner, Giles Hoff, can help you with Pestana room bookings. Giles can also assist with flight bookings if you need help. He can also offer ideas on things to do should you extend your stay to explore Cascais, Lisbon and further surrounds beyond Congress.
